Be Not Deceived, God is NOT Mocked!

Be Not Deceived; God is not Mocked!

Galatians 6:7-8

King James Version

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Introduction:

Have you ever put your hand on something hot when you were little? My Mama tells me when I was about three it was really cold outside, and she opened the stove to let the heat come in. I walked over to that pretty, golden rod and grabbed it! Ouch! I was burned. Ever been stung by a bee? Your Pastor used to go barefoot all the time, I mean I am a born and raised Tennessean! One day while walking barefoot in the grass I stepped on a Bee and hopped all the way to the house. I don’t think I went barefoot for years, but in Hawaii…everybody is barefoot on the beach right? I was walking on the sand and somebody had buried a fire that had not gone out…Ouch…I was burned again. So understand me when I tell you, you can go barefoot if you want…Pastor will not ever go barefoot outside again! Why, because I learned that there are consequences! Paul was warning the Church that there are consequences for living a Worldly life in the flesh and that consequence is corruption…not the pollical or business type, but the decay that happens when flesh rots and comes out of body from a wound when it is not clean! This morning I want us to see the dangers for Christians living a Worldly life…the Consequences and for those who do not have Christ as Savior, the consequences of rejecting God’s gift of Eternal Life! What a Wonderful Mother's Day and what a blessing the music from Dan and Emma! Hope to see you Wednesday as we study the Commandments of Christ and if you have a friend that needs Jesus, This Sunday is the time to bring them along.

Love you all,

Pastor Mark
