Do You Know the Promises of God?

The Promises of God Feb 28 21

Text Galatians 3:21-29

21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Let us Pray

Have you ever had someone break a promise to you? It can be devasting as when promises are broken, trust is lost. How many marriages, relationships, families and businesses have been destroyed over broken promises! Well here is the good news, God always Keeps his Promises! Did you hear me? God always keeps his promises. This morning I want to talk about promises that every Christian should know and claim in their lives:

The Promise of Eternal Life

The Promise of Never leaving us

The Promise of all our needs being provided

The Galatians were forgetting about the Promise of God secured through our faith and were wanting to put works as a requirement, meaning God only gives us something, if we deserve it! News Flash! Nobody deserves what Jesus did on the Cross for us! Nobody deserves a Home in Heaven! We are not entitled due to birthright or Race or citizenship! We receive the promises of God as gifts from a Heavenly Father who loves us so much, that He wanted to fulfill our lives and share them! Don't Miss this Sermon next Sunday, come early and bring a Friend!

Love you all,

Pastor Mark
