Don't be a Fool!
Psalm 14
King James Version
14 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.
5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
Let us Pray
I used to love to listen to Preacher’s on the Radio when I was young, there are not as many good ones now as there was then. Billy Graham, B. R. Laken, Oliver B Green, J. Vernon McGhee…Chuck Smith, Charles Stanley, all of these men preached from the Radio and I loved hearing them. One of the messages I heard from B. R. Laken, the Meaning of the Cross, He told a story of flying on an Airplane and was sitting down with a man who saw his Bible he had brought along to read and said: I am an Atheist! B. R. simply smiled and said, why I just read about you this morning, did you know that there is a verse in the Bible about you personally? The man looked skeptical and said, Okay, I’ll bite, show me:
B.R. turned the man to our text and read the first verse and said: The Fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. B. R. then held out his hand and waited for the man to take it and shake it and he said: Glad to meet you Mr. Fool! Of course he was near 80 or he might not have gotten away with that so cleanly!
The Message this morning is to all who can hear my voice: Don’t be a fool! God is real, and God is alive! People who have disregarded that message are right now regretting their choice!
This Morning we will share the timely message of David like this:
The Biblical definition of Foolish is a Person who disregards God’s word
There are none Good, no not one
Being Rich is no substitute for Faith in God
God will return our captivity out of Judah and Israel will rejoice and be glad
Come and Join us This Sunday Morning for a Message of Hope, Wonderful Music and see a soul follow the Lord in Believer's Baptism! It promises to be a blessing and I hope you will not miss it!
It is a Joy being your Pastor,
