Don't Quit Serving God!
Are you Tired of always having to be the one who does the Right Thing? 5 23 21
Galatians 6: 9-10
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Let us Pray
Introduction: One of the hardest things in life is consistency. Week in and week out we seem to do the same things over and over again, because we think it is the right thing to do. We go to work, we clean the house, we wash the dishes, we get the kids up for school, we make them eat right, do homework, and then go to bed at a decent hour…why? Because we believe it is the right thing to do, but the whole time we are doing the right thing, there is a whole war going that seems to be working against us! Bosses treat us unfairly sometimes, kids disobey and even rebel sometimes, even though we want to just quit, we become sick and tired of being sick and tired and if we are not careful, we will stop right before the end, right before the harvest and if we quit too soon, we can lose all the gains we have made.
Church work is like that as well. Week in and week out we come, sing, teach preach, give, fellowship and go home and it seems like an endless cycle, but we must continue because according to Paul, if we don’t quit, we will reap. This morning I want to show you a few examples of the Bible telling us to never quit! Never quit in Prayer, Never quit on faithful service and never ever quit on the hope we have in Jesus of life eternal! Wonderful Service this past week, and I want to honor our Graduates, Kyle, Emily and Jana! Great Job, we are so proud of you!
