Don't Social Distance...From Jesus!

Over the past few weeks we have all had to learn to distance ourselves from family, friends, businesses and for some people, even Church! Look at our Text for next Sunday:

Psalm 1 King James Version (KJV)

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

There are Three reactions to the crisis we have from this World,

People don't know who to listen to, what Counsel to heed!

People distanced themselves and became lonely, depressed or fell into sin

People denied there was any problem and scoffed at those who took precautions or even reported those

whom they thought might be putting others at risk!

As we being our Study of Psalms, we will see that God wants us to avoid these positions and take the Godly position of listening to Godly Counsel, walking like Jesus walked, standing up for God's position of Faith, not fear and finally, not just sitting around being critical. God wants us to prosper, to bear fruit and not be driven by every wind of society like a bunch of Tumbleweeds!

So Don't Social Distance this coming Sunday, from Jesus. We have several options for you! Number one, you just come on in and sit in our large spacious sancturary! Number two, you move back to the Fellowship hall and listen on Radio (We hope to have Video for overflow soon!) or stay in the parking lot and listen on FM Radio 87.9! If you are in the parking lot, be sure to make the drive around behind the Church after services for Worship through giving, Bread and cakes and a greeting from your Pastor who misses being able to hug and shake your hands! Know that I am praying for you each week by name and look forward to seeing you really soon! Remember, God knows what's going on and he knows which direction you are going.
