Is the World going to End?

The Psalm for the End of the World

Text: Psalm 12

12 Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

Introduction:

Have you ever felt like your World was coming to an end? That people you thought were Godly, turned out to be crooks, saying one thing and meaning another. David had reached a point where he was tired of running from Saul, when he was tired of being betrayed by people he thought he could trust, he felt like the World was ending and yet, David wrote his 77 of 150 Psalms over 3000 years ago! His World did not end as he thought and 3000 years later, our World has not ended either! Not yet, but Jesus did tell us what to expect in these last days and these last days have gone on now for 2000 years! I believe that Jesus is coming soon and that the World will change, but for the Christian, the World will never end for us! Life Eternal is just that and for the Non-Christian, sadly, their World will not end either, but they will live it in a really dark and sad Place. Today, as we look at the descriptions of David of those people around him, we will look at the descriptions the Bible gives us for the days we are living in. The only people who feel that the World is coming to an end are those without hope and, today we will look at our only Hope for the Future! Jesus Christ! Come and hear the Biblical answer to the Question: "Is the World going to End?"
