So Thankful for You!
Colossians 2:6-7 (King James Version)
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Over the past few weeks, this so-called pandemic has become very real. We have lost several Pastors and friends and our hearts go out to them and our prayers for the families. Pastor Tommy Dye was such an example to me and I was so saddened by his loss, as well as friends around the Nation. We have lost Marcus Kelley, former Pastor in Smyrna, and many many others. There are others who are sick now, in the hospital and they need our prayers, including Pastor Tony Thibodeaux, Pastor of Calvary Baptist who has pneumonia and Covid-19. We have had several members exposed and infected who have gotten better, Thank God, even our Special and faithful brother, David Holton is positive right now at home with no symptoms.
There are two ways we can handle a crisis like this:
We can cower in fear, shut off all interactions with people and hope that it will blow over and that is what many millions have done.
We can embrace the time we have here and be OH so Thankful for the Loved ones, brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers that we still have and spend all the time we can with them as safely as possible.
I have been so sad to see people driving alone in a car, wearing a fashion mask as if they will somehow be protected by a thin layer of clothe from a virus that can enter their bodies right though the clothe.
The Bible says:
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Our lives are in God's Hands and we do not need to be afraid, why? God is with us! He will hold our hand and lead us through this Shadow of the Valley of Death! In a few weeks I will share my final Psalms Message, The Valley of the Shadow of Death, for many of us feel that we are passing there now, but my friends, we must hold on to Jesus! Remember what Jesus said:
Luke 12:32
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
God has so much He wants to give you, but if we are cowering at home, living in fear and forgetting that He is with us, then how can God bless us!
My Message to all of you during this time of Thanksgiving is that I am sooo Thankful for each of you, That God moved me to shepherd this flock, to guide you to Green Pastures and allow you to feast and feed on the Word of God! Let us all practice good common sense and safety, but let's not forget each other as we approach this time of Thanksgiving. Pray for each other, call each other, and lets support one another as we all join together in Spirit to say Thank You God, for all our blessings! his Sunday we will celebrate the death of our Lord Jesus with the Lord's Supper and for the 6th month in a row, we will celebrate His Resurrection with a Baptism! Hope to you see you there! The Radio will be broadcasting to the Parking Lot on 87.9 and we will run communion out to you if you need it.
Love and Peace to you all,
Happy Thanksgiving!
