Why do we Cry out to God?

Text: Psalm 18:4-6

4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

Introduction:

We are living in times when people are afraid of so many things, afraid of fraud, computer hacking, personal information stolen, Identity fraud, virus, elections upcoming and so much more and yet the Devil has made a Power Move in our Nation and World, it has become wrong to gather in the one place of safety, the one place where we can join together and lift up our voices in Praise, Prayer and in the Power of the Holy Spirit. This morning, in Part 2 of Psalm 18, I want us to explore the real things in this life to be afraid of and I want us to know which things we do NOT have to be afraid of. I also want my Church and the Body of Christ to know that when the Whole Body of Christ, the Church meets and prays, the Foundations of Hell are shaken, Lives are Changed, and fear is defeated!
